4k or 2k UW?

60HZ OLED looks great in terms of motion clarity (in fact most high end TVs have superb motion and hold up very well to 144HZ IPS screens) but yeah input lag is still a bit of an issue if you're sensitive to that.

TBF, anyone can use 21.9 on their 16.9 display through custom resolutions :p

Indeed, but why would one want to do that and end up with inferior aspect ratio where your eyeballs/neck needs to wonder from side to side? lol :p

I love ultra wide and have one myself but the price difference between a decent 40" 4k TV and a decent ultra wide monitor is so great, it's really hard to recommend the ultra wide option, particularly when the TV option surpasses most monitors in many ways: I bought my son the Samsung KU6400 for Christmas and it really is first rate. I'll be buying one myself this weekend

Edit : I should also state that the TV option is fine as long as your graphics cards is hdmi 2 compliant so you can use 60hz.
