4k Plex buffering on shield

Have recently got a 4k TV but can't play 4k from Plex server without buffering. I have put file onto ssd to eliminate my USB drive as an issue. Running server on pc, have tried connecting to shield via gigabit switch and still getting buffering issue. It says it's direct playing so not a transcoding issue. What is the best way to test bandwidth between shield and server. The performance under task manager shows it fluctuation lot when attempting to play content.

80Gb. I tried recabbling again and increasing cache on Kodi and buffering is a lot less but still getting some.

Think I will try using shield as a server. I did manage to get it working better by increasing amount of memory Kodi can use to buffer.

Switched to using shield as the server and its working surprisingly well, has the plus that I am not longer running my desktop 24/7 should result in nice surprise next electric bill. Hoping I can pick up a second cheap 6Tb or more USB hd in prime day sale.
