Hi people, I am in need of some help please as I think my problem is beyond my expertise and I am really hoping some one could help.

Ok so my setup is:

TV: LG 65" UHD 4k (model no. 65UM7400PLB)
AMP: Yamaha RX V475

Now I seem to have trouble running 4k though my amp?

Any one help please

When I got my new tv delivered I plugged my SkyQ box direct in to my new tv ( make sure it works etc) and when I select video out put on my sky box to 4k the tv will accept this and the picture is fantastic.

Now when I plug my sky box in to my amp (HDMI IN 1) and then the out (HDMI OUT) cable to my tv I can only selected 1080i or 1080p??

I though ok this could be because my amp is a few years old now and does not support 4k however looking at the specs on line and even in the owner book it states it supports 4k pass though?

I cant see any settings on the amp to change input settings etc?

Is it something I am doing wrong or am I wrong thinking my model of amp does not support 4k?

Hi guys, so on the hunt for a 1 or 2 year old amp.

Coming from my setup above any recommended a make model that has streaming, good power and full 4k?

Apologies - wrong link, brainfart moment .

The one to look at is this one -> https://www.richersounds.com/tv-home-cinema/av-receivers/yamaha-rxv585-blk.html

Got my parents to buy this unit and it works flawlessly. It autodetects Sky TV and passes the 4K image through - no issues with audio sync either.

EDIT: the Denon looks a solid unit and has Atmos so decent features, if you can get that for a sensible price that would be a good buy but surely buying new with warranty would be better?

Shawrey

Is this HDCP 2.2?

Hi guys. Thought I would give an update.

After a lot of information from you guys and information I have found out I think I am going to spend that bit extra and look at the denon AVR-X3300W.

Any of you guys run this system for pro and con

Hi guys, so a huge thank you to who replied with very useful information.

I pick up a Denon x3300h next week and look forward to it.

I know from this thread there was some issues on the 2300 and 2400 on running hot, was this fixed on the X3300H model or do these require extra cooling?
