Hi,

What (legitimate) sources do we have in the UK for streaming 4K/UHD content? From a bit of research, it seems the best bet would be Amazon via their Fire TV - as far as I can tell only the Fire TV will allow 4K?

Google Play & Netflix have what appears to be a very small selection, and the Sky Store also has some, but only for Sky Q subscribers. Is that it?

The smart tv apps do 4K, Amazon, Netflix etc.

If you have a smart 4K tv you don't need a fire tv box or anything like that unless you want access to kodi etc.

Ah, I wasn't sure about the smart tv apps being compatible with Amazon 4K, on the Amazon website the only mention of 4K/UHD was in conjunction with Fire TV so assumed it was only via that.

But in terms of services, it would appear Amazon has the best selection of new movies to rent @ 4K?

Yeah that seems to be the case, quite expensive when renting though, only 24 hours to watch it.
