What are the best 55" 4K TV contenders at the 1,200 price point?

A couple of online stores have last years Samsung KS8000 for around that price, not sure if I can link to the one I have in mind but it's up for £1149.(Mysmarttvs)

KS8000 seems like the the common choice at this price thanks. Also looking at a Sony as I might be able to get a staff discount with a friend.

Spend a bit more and get the LG oled 55b7?

It's been up for around 1.7 - 1.8k on hotukdeals

KS8000 is last years model so expensive for what you get.

I'd also go for the OLED or at least keep your money till it comes down to around £1400 before next years models.

pointless spending £1200 on an LCD IMO unless your going for a much bigger size.

I don't know what the current sweet spot is but usually samsung 7 series is the one to go for. i'd check reviews though for this years models from all manufacturers.

it usually means spend £900 on a LCD or buy an OLED @ £1700
