4k tv mode not supported

i have always sent the video out on hdmi lead now i have a 4k tv cant get into / see the bios says mode not supported

4K only works with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort, so you will need a GPU with HDMI 2.0 and an HDMI 2.0 cable, or a GPU with Displayport, a DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0 adapter and an HDMI 2.0 cable.

what im saying is that worked ok on my 1080p tv but not on new 4k tv
only see a picture when comp fully booted
