Ok ... I've found myself in a dilemma .

I have The Martian on pre-order with the rainforest site on blu ray . Now I have a 4k tv and intend grabbing a Samsung 4k ultra player as soon as it's available in the uk .

So the question is .... do I wait for the 4k ultra version , which will also come with blu ray and a digital hd download or double dip ?

Prices will be higher of course . Damn I hate it when new tech messes with my head lol

And does anyone know if 4k films will be region locked ? As I might order off amazon us if not

Well you're presumably buying the 4K Blu-ray player for a reason. If you're happy with the crazy cost then go for it.

Well ive seen the Martian ultra at $29 .... and early adopters always pay more . I was in with dvd in 1998. You get shafted lol

What! A 4k ultra blu ray player for £100 and the Martin ultra blu ray for $30. Crazy cost.
Andi.

£100 ? I think your being optimistic on that one lol . more like £400 ( taking into account the usual bs conversion rate )

unless you know a player I don't ???

This. I paid silly money for a Panasonic DVD player in 1998.

was it the a100 by any chance ? Had that chipped by the local Panasonic shop on purchase . Paid £440 for it in Oct 1998 . I still remember how impressed I was by judder-free pause lol
