Running a 4k screen and have R9 Fury X would upgrading to a 980Ti and overclocking it see much of a jump in frame rates?

It's not worth it. The FuryX stacks up well at 4k v a gtx980ti. With both overclocked the gtx980ti would pull a lead but not enough to warrant the change. I would not make any decision until after the summer where AMD and possibly Nvidia will have new cards on the market.

Ok thanks, what about the Titan X?

Never buy a Titan X for single card use.

The performance is a tiny bit better than a 980 Ti but it will cost you an extra £300.

Titan Xs are best used in multi GPU setups at very high resolutions.

I have 2xTi's and a good dollop of Gsync and barely get by. 4k is *extremely* demanding, but you probably know that already.....

Me? I'd keep the FuryX and just drop the odd setting to keep it smooth :)
