I’m trying to judge what performance would be like if I upgraded from a 1440p monitor to a 4K monitor.

I was thinking if I used Nvidia DLDSR to upscale to 4K would that give me an accurate representation of expected performance or is there more performance loss using DLDSR as opposed to running at native 4K ?

Running a 3080 founders edition

I think you would have to use traditional DSR to get more realistic figures for native 4K

DLDSR is using the tensor cores to gain performance back I believe.

Will you actually be running native 4K though or using DLSS?
