Hi. My main use of Wirecast is live streaming in 4k 2840x2160@25fps.
My streaming pc is an i7-8700 , 32GB ram and a blackmagic decklink 4k mini recorder card. The internet connection also had plenty of upload capacity. I'm using the x264 encoder in Wirecast 11.1.
I am able to get a stable stream if i set the bitrate to 15000. I get no dropped frames and the cpu usage is around 50-60%.
If I turn the bitrate up any higher then i start getting dropped frames and cpu usage also increases.
My question is would I see any benefit from adding a dedicated graphics card to the pc and if so which one would you suggest? Would that allow me to turn the bitrate up?
