4kTV/Monitor solutions for not being able to hit 60fps

Can someone explain to me the options for if you're not able to hit 60fps on a 4k TV/Monitor?

As I understand my options are:

1. Downscale to 1440p
2. Custom resolution to an ultrawide one for loss of vertical resolution, increased FOV.

I'm playing on a 65 inch TV so I can afford to lose a bit of vertical resolution I guess.

Any thoughts or suggestions please?

How about doing a 1:1 downscale to 1920x1080?

I wouldn't get hung up on dropping down to 1080p. I imagine you'll be able to up the graphics detail quite a bit dropping from 4K which more than makes up for the lower resolution. Even if you can't (or already have the graphics at Uber Ultra) I still doubt you'll notice much difference.

It could be the cable your using, you see some cables support up to 30fps on 4k or an up to date cable supports 60fps at 4k you see.

So i think it is the cable, go and buy another one make sure the version of the cable is the latest and that should fix your problem.

Yeah well it is worth testing it with a up to date cable i think.
