Loaded up 4oD today to watch a catch-up program but there was a problem and it wouldnt load propeerly.

I decided to reinstall the program so see if it made any difference. However during the uninstall there was an 'error' and it wasnt completed, leaving only half the program installed. Every time i try to unsinstall another error occurs.

Now i cant install a new version as it still thinks that it is installed, giving me the options to uninstall or repair. Neither work, needless to say the program doesn't either.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it off my system totally?

Only thing I can suggest trying, is to delete the installation folder, then use something like CCleaner to remove anything from the registry. And then try to run the installer again.

RegSeeker? You can either let it scan for stuff and delete the keys you want to get rid of OR you can search for text yourself. So scan for "4oD" etc and you'll get the related keys and you can delete them that way?

Even afer using CCleaner, I always have a trawl through the registry to see if anything is left. You'd be suprised how much it missed sometimes.

Also have a search for "kontiki", which is the P2P aspect of 4oD (and iPlayer, and Sky's version too).
Oh god yes! Almost forgot about Kontiki. It is the devil incarnate! A mate of mine can't install the 4oD or BBC iPlayer because it wants IE6 or above and the installer thinks he has IE5.5. Try IE6!! :p

Didn't know Sky had one going. Any good?

I had a problem installing 4OD yesterday, turned out to be because i had an old version of flash, updated and all went well.

But this may not be your problem just a thought.
