I managed to get hold of a Corsair 120 PRO LED which I was going to attach to the top of my case to help with cooling.

I failed to check connections (as my head was still in the 90s where a fan was a fan) and I dont have any 4 pin pwm connections to plug into.

After a fairly cheap solution and was hoping to find a 4pin pwm to 4 pin molex (or some other common connections).

Found one place but they want to charge well over £10 for delivery..

Any ideas gratefully received..

OK little concerned about what happens if I add in the wrong way, is it the first 3 to clip on?

Also just in case I don't have a spare (care already has a few fans, any other solutions?)

99% of fans come with little prongs (for lack of a better word) that means it's impossible to plug them in wrong.

You can use something like this which will keep PWM control and all the fans will be controlled from the CPU header.

Or something like this to run them from molex and just have them run full speed.

If you want to hunt yourself, just look for molex to 3 pin fan as molex doesn't carry any of the PWM signal of the 4th pin.

You should only be able to insert it one way as the plug on the fan should have notches on it which fit either side of the tab on the 3 pin header.

No spare 4 pin headers on your motherboard? If not then have a look for something like this on Ebay or Amazon with free postage. You could get it from here but by the time you add on postage the price has doubled. Using one of those you plug the single end into your motherboard header and plug a existing 4 pin fan (cpu fan maybe) into one of the tails and the new fan into the other. That way the fan will be controlled by cpu temp or whatever you set it to in the bios instead of running flat out all of the time.

Fan now works a treat, machine is quite a bit louder now but to be honest its pushing a hell of a lot of air as I can actually feel the air moving around me. Will be interested to see what effect it has now and with any luck will have increased the life of the machine...
