I had my 360 since launch, updated the console to play old xbox games and from then the screen went a strange colour and could never get a picture. Tried different cables, HD's and tv's nothing worked. They sent labels and picked it up within 3 days, took me 2 months and a week to get it back.

Abit of a long time but i did get 2 months free xbox live gold and i didnt have any warrenty. Still pretty good.

Been tempted to do the same. Gutted really because my mate bought an elite last week at a well know highstreet store for 299 with The Darkness and Blue Dragon. No where seem to have that kind of deal anymore. If only it had died a week earlier!!

You get £160 trade in at a well known high street dealer.
As i have had my old 360 since the launch and it has been back for repair twice it was a good deal for me.
Also if my new elite goes belly up i can just get it changed at the shop for the next year.
I traded in bioshock and got £26 for it.
Then i got the elite deal with bioshock for £310
