4s case, what to get?

How likely is it for you to drop your phone? Reason I ask is that my 4S had some marks on the antenna band from using a Speck Candyshell, which, aside from that and the flaking issue, was a great case. But it caused more damage to the phone than not having it, and I haven't dropped anything in years (literally), so I personally decided to skip the case with my replacement.

I agree with above I found this snap on cases do more damage to the phone than anything always scratch the silver bezels etc.

Leather flip case is on my list

I use http://www.switcheasy.com/product/CapsuleRebel_iPhone4

It adds weight and bulk for sure, but I know my phone is pretty damn protected when I drop it. My only annoyance is that the back isn't flat (so it won't sit flat on a table), at first it was awkward to hold but its OK now.

I struggle to take the damn thing off! I think I have the switcheasy nude as well, never even used it.. protection wise it doesn't compare.

Had a Capsule Rebel for my iTouch, and while it was a good case, it was more hassle than it was worth and the inner casing became stretched and ruined after taking it off a couple of times.

Leather flip cases are probably the safest choice in terms of scratch protection. Leather pouches are a big no-no.

Are you looking for protection, drop or scratch? Design? Functionality?

If you're looking for scratch protection an Invisible Shield Maximum Protection may be worth a look. I went for a Invisible Shield back and bumper and the bumper is not doing it any favours in the protection department :(. Still very shallow marks but only because I clean it often (every 2-3 days).
