i currently have a front facing setup for my Oculus Rift, it does the job great but I’m having a hard time in Pavlov, BAM and echo arena and pretty much any game that I have to turn around in, i have orderd a 3rd. But I am now also able to acquire a 4th cheap because my friends Rift had broke and he’s bought a HTC Vive (£250!!!), I don’t have anywhere to place this 4th camera that won’t annoy my Mrs as it’s in the living room, the only option I can think of is placing the camera upside down at the bottom of the radiator, probably using a magnet at the back of said radiator (also I can easily hide the usb extension) cable, it would be less than a foot above the floor, and would be near the back of my play area, oculus says my play area is ‘optimal’ during setup if that helps. Would I see any Benifit in tracking from this unusual placement? I’m thinking I would because there would be a small blind spot in where the 3rd sensor would go at the rear of the play area due to the sofa, and could be handy when going prone in shooting games, and picking things up from the ground, but I would like some feedback before I buy, I don’t want to waste any money on it and on an extension cable too.

Cheers

If he is a m8 can you not `borrow` it to try?
You would have to get an extension cable as you said but if purchased from the forest you could return the Active usb3 extension if you could not get it to work :)

This is the exact route I have chosen to go down, I’ll report back on here as it may help someone else
