4x 4GB Ram question

I currently have 2x 4gb but struggling with certain games.

I can cheaply get another 2x 4GB, but wondering if it would effect my overclock I have setup at all?

It used to make overclocking more difficult, what's your system spec?

Newer platforms allow overclocking the CPU without affecting ram, so if you're not overclocking the ram it should be OK.

Try and sell them off. I had 3x2GB but could have added more memory, I just bought 3x8GB kit in triple channel.

Is your memory DDR3? I could do with some, as I have 4x2GB and notice instability on the HTPC, two sticks would be better.
