4x pci-e vs 16x pci-e

on a mobo that has a 4x pci-e slot (asrock/e4300) using ddr1 ram, at what point does the gfx card start being the bottleneck in the system?

given the 4x slot, whats the best gfx card i could go for in the system?

PCI-E 1x doesn't even offer the bandwidth of AGP 1x, so I think that one would be a problem

what pci-e x1 would bottleneck a gpu maybe not a really low end card but anything else yer

i would say nothin more than a 7900/1900
maybe a bit under that
