I've got 4x sticks (1x 512MB and 3x 256MB) of CH-5 RAM which can all do 2-2-2-11 on my old XP board. Was wondering if i will be running into problems with this and a DFI A64 board?

In general then, would having such a RAM configuration be worth simply selling and getting a 2GB kit? I'm sure these would hit 220 FSB, but i'm not entirely sure about 1T. I've heard CH-5 doesn't like voltages over 3V either. 1024+256MB isn't 2GB obviously, but is it worth another hundred quid.

Please take this only as ' If I were You ' advice Jet :) , trade them in for a nice couple of 1024's .

Probably less compatibility hastle than 4 dimms plus 1T gaming .

Alritey then, i shall be looking more into 2GB then. Those OCZ's just got hiked down, only to the dismay of 2 other weekly specials i wanted getting knocked up. Balls!

Dont forget, any CPU before Venice can only run 4 sticks at DDR333 2T. The post venice cpu's can run ddr400 2t with 4 sticks. Plus, there is heavy strain on the memory controller with 4 sticks, more so than 1GB sticks.
