I've been running 2x1 gig DDR2 1066 OCUK RAM for a while now & its been ok.

Just got another 2x1 gig DDR2 1066 OCUK RAM (Stalker with 2gig texture pack ) & its not ok.

Running either set of 2 sticks & Prime/memtester CD is ok but with 4 sticks prime fails mem test or wont even boot vista.

all at stock
Gigabyte P35 DQ6 (tried F4 & FL5 bios)
q6600
4x 1gig OCUK DDR2 1066 (even put copper heatspreaders on the RAM + overhead fan as they run very hot)

As all the RAM is ok when run as 2 stick there must be the motherboard or perhaps they need more voltage?

Can anyone help, thanks

Well this is really wierd... to run 4 sticks I have to lower the RAM voltage from 2.2 to 2.1 & also chipset voltages
Prime looks stable now at 1100 with 4 sticks :D
fine tuning voltages now for full stability

wierd how if all at stock/auto 4 sticks dont work but if you lower voltages < what they should be, its stable

I'll have to bear that in mind now that it's back in stock and I can get my second pair.

I've found that going from 2.1v to 2.2v has very little effect anyway. Mine do over 1100mhz 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v and they gain maybe 30mhz with 2.2v.

Not quite stable yet, keep getting blue screens with 4 sticks.
Its more stable at 1095mhz 2.0v than auto 1066 or any other voltage WTF.
Tried different timmings too.

Is anyone running 4 sticks of DDR2 RAM & what are your voltages/timmings?
Preferably OCUK RAM at 1066.

ta

4 x 1GB of OCZ 6400 at stock. 4-4-4-15 2T timings.

Memory overclocking seems too problematic for me!

I'd just leave the Memory at 1:1 with the FSB, is it really worth it to overclock if it's being so unstable? It's cheaper than most 6400 RAM, so you have good speed for the money.

Looks like my RAM timmings are not right...

How can you set to 2T in the Gigabyte P35 DQ6 BIOS ?

My screenshot with BIOS at default & forcing RAM at 1066 2.2v.
At these settings memtester errors/Vista BSODs (ignore 440fsb -its really doing 266):

The P35 boards are always set to 2T.

Those settings look fine, tho 2.2v is possibly a little too high for them at 1066mhz.

Have you tried changing 'High Speed DRAM DLL Settings'?

I think it's primarily a >1000mhz Micron D9 compatibility setting tho.

I dont understand a word man, how do you change 'High Speed DRAM DLL Settings'? ::::::::::::: sorry yes I see it.. tried changing that on auto too

The plot thickens:

Vista64 BSOD's instantly on boot with 4 sticks, no matter what timings/voltages at 1066.

Vista32 is a winner: being Prime stable for 5 seconds :p

Seriously though, its deffo a hardware prob
