(sorry about previous thread title)

Was greeted to this yesterday:

No problem I thought, whip out the claybar and you won't notice it was ever there.

Well that just revealed the true extent of the damage:

No paint damage but a lovely dent in the rear quarter panel.

Anyone know how I can get this sorted, I presume its too prominent to be pushed/pulled out and will need filling

Dont fill it. It will crack over time being over a rear sus strut.

If you are friendly with a body shop they will pull the dent easily (normally by welding nails to the body work and pulling it out). Unfortunately it will probably need to be resprayed afterwards.

Unlucky mate. Hope you get it sorted.

You may get away with removing the inner rear quarter panel (from inside), and feeling the dent from inside the car. But even with a dolly hammer it aint gonna pretty afterwards and may look rippled.

Did you see it happen?

Nope hit+run, but know who it was but they won't admit to it.

Trouble is it's more of a scrape dent than a dent, don't know if it would be pulled out or not :(

Don't know where this person lives, apart from they are about 200 miles away. It was someone coming to look at buying my house, yes they did it on my own driveway :(

:( was going to ask if it was on your drive but answered already, that sucks, and they dont have the courtesy to tell you, as said before, fish for the win,

slightly ot:

got the lights and alloys form my car, guess you dont really want alloys, but lights are till avaible

If they put an offer in, tell them you will only accept it if they add on the cost of repairs to your car...

Call the agent who arranged the viewing, they will have their details. They have hit your car and left the scene of the accident which is illegal. I would do whatever I can to ensure they paid for the damage they caused.

I'll try and get a better pic tomorrow, but its more of sharp dent than the picture shows. A local panel beater said he wouldn't be able to sort it without filling and spraying :(

Normally I wouldn't care but the rest of the car is immaculate it will bother me a lot especially as it wasn't me who did it.

Contacted the estate agent, thats how we got her phone number. She is denying everything and hung up on us and as I don't really have any proof then don't think we will get very far. She doesn't want the house either to add insult to injury!

dadofsam: I'll have the lights, what state are the wheels in because even if theres only a couple of good ones I might have them and buy 2 more from speedline or something. Depends on price.

But you saw her do it? ;)

Nope :(

But I cleaned my alloys half an hour before she came so I think I would have noticed that big black mark and then I came out half an hour after she'd gone and it was there. My drive is off a larger private drive with only my next door neighbor driving past mine and he has a Porka 911 and my other neighbor who was outside all the time and confirmed that no other cars had been down. So 99.99999999% sure it was her.
