5.1 gaming-worthwhile?

I'm using a Arcam Alpha 9 and B&W 601 with my gaming PC, I also have a B&W CC6 spare, and a Yamaha DSP-A592 which could be used analogue 5.1 outputs from the X-Fi. Also have a Yamaha YS-40 sub spare, and Kef Coda 7 spare too.

Should I go 4 EAX/5.1 for gaming?

the main benefit is for FPS, where it can add "depth" to the game play. But as you've got the kit already why not set it up and give it a go

Are games in 4 channel (fronts and rears) or 5? (with centre)

some with center as well like graw sounded nice plus sub kicking off.

and yes it is deff worth while.
