Recently got a LG 42" LCD and now thinking of getting 5.1 surround sound for it. I also hook up a XBox (composite) and Western Digital Media Player (HDMI) to the TV, so ideally I would like to get digital audio through the new system.
The WDMP can't currently play HD films which have DTS audio because the TV can't decode that, so I hoping the new setup will solve that by taking advantage of the optical out on the back of the WDMP.
My budget is between £200 and £300, and I don't have a clue about sound systems, so any advice would be greatly appreciated
