5.1 speaker system for a small space?

I don't know where to start looking for a speaker system, I'm looking for a 5.1 surround sound rig for my pc. The room that the pc is in is very enclosed (book-lined study) so I need something that will work well in this small space - I would like quality of sound, but it doesn't need the capacity for a larger space.
I would be grateful for any ideas.

I would say z5400 as iv herd lots of good reviews for it and im about to get some, but i need to know how long the cables are as my room is quite big and not a square
