5.1 Speakers for Sony 820?

Hello All,

I'm looking for some speakers to match my STR-DH820, I'm currently looking at the TANNOY SFX5.1 (£129) based solely on price and Tannoy seem to have a good reputation, However, I'm a little clueless on matching audio equipment so any advice is welcome...

I could up the budget a little if its worth it (I don't see the point in buying top of the range speakers to match a "Budget" AV Receiver)

It might be an older 'budget' AV Receiver, but the general rule of thumb for speakers is double your amplification cost! At the very least you would want to spend equal money

Sony DH-820 was £350 new.

Obviously depends on your actual room layout and stuff as well, but I would want something better than low end SFX 5.1's

Really need more info about the room, but if you wanted some a smaller speaker package, then I would suggest spending more and getting something like these Tannoy HTS 101 XP's
