5.16.01 Baseband

is there 5.16.01 baseband unlock out yet? been looking everywhere but cant seem to locate one

Yeh, the above works aslong as the baseband is upgraded to 6.15.0, which is the ipad baseband. Remember there is no warrenty with this as Apple will know you have touched the device software wise.

All you do is flash it back to an official firmware if you ever need to take it in to an Apple store.

No way to downgrade unless it's a 3G. If it's a 3GS you can't downgrade the baseband or even flash with 'official' firmware. It has to be customised so that the baseband doesn't get touched.

If your "device" develops a fault where you're likely to get a replacement, then it doesn't matter what baseband it ends up with if you're getting a new one.

Only if they don't see that the baseband has been upgraded though. It voids the warrenty if they find out it's been tampered with.
