5.25" blanking panels

I need 250 black 5.25" blanking panels.

The good folk at OcUK have drawn a errr... blank.

Does anyone else know where I might source them? I need to go round 250 HP PCs, remove the DVD drive and replace it with something less ugly than a gaping hole :-)

HP want £25 a piece for them. The idea of spending over 6 grand on blanking panels offends me.

What sort of design? They are far and wide!

For £25 a pop, it may be owrth contacting an engineering company if its bog standard don't-care-what-they-look like stuff.

essentially a rectangular piece of metal with 2 bends and 4 M3 tapped holes.

No need for the roll eyes. Did read the OP, but missed the last line. Surely you can get them for less than £25 each from HP. Have you contacted the major accounts team and spoken to someone?

We are an HP tier 1 gold partner. We have tried every option with HP. I'm sure we get some percentage off the £25 but not enough to stop it being stupidly expensive.

We can order PCs with components deleted but when the order is a mere 250, deleting things causes a even larger price *increase* not a decrease.

If we wanted 25,000 of them, maybe they would help, but at small numbers, everything is difficult.

Is a simpler option not to just leave the drives in place to plug the holes but pull the power cables so they're inactive.

why not just..... leave it in? unhook the power cable / remove sata / ide cable and its inactive

or if its on your network, just disable drive access via group policy

Assuming there is a reason to remove them though so yea, google and find someone who sells them in large amough numbers
