Hi there

I thinking about cooling in my case and as I have most of my 5.25 drive bays free I thought about putting a fan in there. I was looking at this Lian Li adapter but I don't need the drive bays behind it. Also no drive bays means better air flow.

So does anyone know where you can get just an adapter from? Also from searching on here, I read about someone who had simply cable tied a fan in place but I wonder how well it would work.

Thanks in advance.

If you have 3 x 5.25" bays free, I would suggest a hard drive cage with a fan pre-mounted on the front. Silverstone and Cooler Master both manufacture such things. I've got a Cooler Master one in my Elite 335 case, giving me space for 9 hard drives (I use this case for a file server). Good cooling and good functionality, and I can swap the fan out for another one if I want.

I used 3mm bungee cord and 2 cable ties. Threaded it around the case, through the fan etc. Cable tied both ends in place. Anti vibration you see ;)

I might try that as I can then keep my mesh drive bay covers so it matches and I don't have a random brand stuck to the front of my case.

There is the Lian Li BZ-502 too and yes I do know where to get them from, but as this is OcUK's forum I can't tell you.

The only place I can find is the bay but it seems expensive compared to normal retailers. Trust message me the link if you want :)
