JMA is located in an extremely deprived area and is mainly a sports academy.
It was created to keep the kids off the streets and at least give them a chance at an education. It seems to be working well.
Better they are there and learning to play football etc than smashing up cars in and around Reading.

This is a perfect example of why school league tables are a waste of time as they don't compare like with like.

I didn't know that, its not exactly good but i prefer it to the alternative.

I've seen applications for jobs now and they state minimum of 3-5 grade C GCSEs?! I mean seriously?!


To be fair these jobs in most cases are trying to cater for the 50 + age groups in some cases as less emphasis was put on coming out with dozens of qualifications and more on a trade or skill (for the majority) so someone may be able to do the job very easily but not have the formals.
