It'll be the quality of the connectors (i.e. they'll be harder to break).

The image quality is unlikely to be any different seeing as it's a digital signal.
 
Logically thinking no, a digital signal is made of 1's and 0's. It cant be distorted by interference and noise like an analogue signal, which is made of waves

Also, if people say differently, it depends on the distance you need, if the signal is travelling only 2-3 meters, then £5 is more than enough
