5 port Sata2 Card

I brought a PC which only has 2 SATA slots which are used.

I plan to use the PC as a server.

Is this card ideal for adding additional HDD in a server?

I wouldn't expect the card to be very fast but for that price you can't really grumble.

I'd eBay tbh. Might as well get a 2nd hand "proper" hardware RAID card (3ware, LSI, Adaptec) for the amount you'd be spending on that.
