Yes.

Just plug in all 4 devices and your single network input. No setup. It'll just work.

cheers, will i run into problems if say i'm downloading on the PC and trying to watch netflix on the TV, with it all going back through that 1 cable? it's 15 metres of cat 5E through the loft
 
You'll be limited by the single Gigabit connection from the switch to the loft. For what you're describing that limitation will have zero impact.

If you're buying a switch get an eight port. The increased cost is minimal and you'll have some room for expansion.
 
Nah they're all much of a muchness. Pick the one you like the look of the most. Definitely get an 8 port cos they barely cost any more than 5 port models.
 
Any will do, I've been using the 5 port version of the TP-Link with no issues. Unless your internet is faster than 1gb, you don't have anything to worry about.
