You're putting "hardcore gamers" and "WOW" under the same catagory?!

Hardcore gamers = Competitive gaming, competitions and generally having money involved, generally revolving around games such as cs, starcraft, LoL etc.

Enthusiast gamers = People that spend a shed load on hardware for the best graphics possible

If there are competitions, proper ones, in WoW i'm sure only a tiny tiny minority would come under the hardcore gamer catagory.

On another note, i know more than enough people who play/played WoW and are sociable, have wives/girlfriends, not to mention one i work with who regularly went to sweden and the netherlands for WoW meets, and he works as a teacher! It's a pretty lame sterotype to brandish them all with the same stick.
 
1 - Build and constantly upgrade a PC
2 - Play in a team/clan at any online game
3 - Try at least 1 MMORPG
4 - Attend a Lan
5 - Win a league/tournament with your online team

Done 1, working on 3, hopefully attend i45 in april and done 4 as i joined a little clan you might of heard of called the fallen unit a few months back ;)
