When I buy something I never use the guarantee after when your 1 year is up from where you bought it from. On devices some say you get a 5 year guarantee from the manufacturer of your device. There is nothing wrong with my PC apart from My Hard drive is making humming noises already and its just over a year old (typical). My PC is bought as a package So if the Hard Drive failed in any way how do you use the guarantee after the main one from shop run out?.

If you are talking about your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act, then your contract is with the vendor and you should contact them.
If the actual device has a warranty with the manufacturer (most hard drives have 3 or 5yrs with the manufacturer), then you should contact them.

It depends on where you bought the kit from though. In the first instance, you should always contact the place you bought it from.

Not any more they don't, most desktop hard drives now come with 1-2years max. If you want more you have to buy enterprise.

but some systems come with 1 year warranty from the store
You might not have a manufacturers warranty on the hard drive
And unless it is faulty just clicking will not get you a RMA
Get HD tune and read smart if it indicates damage you can send it to RMA
Otherwise back up your data and wait for it to fail
