50" 4k - New GFX needed

Your going to hit the sane problem people with sli 980's are at the monent. Got the power for 4k but 4gb vram will limit you and cause u to lower settings.

Yes I know, but I only have to drop the odd setting in demanding games. GTA 5 for instance I run full whack with no problems, looks epic

4k benchmarks just to show how cards will handle at the resolution buy as you can see you need top end card or SLI top end cards even, id wait for 980ti aswell, single card, always better and future proof to upgrade in future

That's all well and good, but it's predicted to come in at £700+ (at launch at least!!). Guy obviously spent all his moola on the TV and expects to run 4k with a 750Ti ;) :D

He he. Cheers guys. I honestly thought that as racing games never need the best GFX if get away with it, clearly not. I might grab a 980 and just hold back on the settings.

I've got a 58" 4k TV and I need two Titan X's for 60fps/max settings.

Just playing Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and that doesn't use SLI unfortunately (due to the id Tech 5 engine) so I had to drop it back to 1440p to avoid any slowdown with max settings.

1440p looks really good on the TV still though.

You sure? I could have sworn that Tech 5 was one of the few engines to support Quad SLI. I used to run that in surround a couple of years ago on two 295s.

The other night I installed The Old Blood and at first was running it on one card. Then I enabled SLI and I could swear it ran much better.
