I'm looking at buying another case as my XClio nighthawk is far too loud with it's standard fans and the 160mm fans are impossible to come by.

I want quiet standard fans on it so I don't have to upgrade them (if it only has a couple I will however add an extra 1 or 2 in just not REPLACE), but I also want a decent amount of air flow... I'm thinking that it must have a side window as I feel I wanna watch my components whirl around now. LEDs aren't a worry as I can buy them later or get Cathode's etc. and Cable management isn't essential but would be appreciated if I'm spending this much on a case (A lot to me)

At the moment, the CM Storm Scout is on offer at £55 and I love the look of that... Red LEDs, a window, and a reputable make... seems to have it all and the fans are apparently fairly quiet.
Next one in my 'eye catching list' is the HAF 912, but this doesn't have a window which is a bit disappointing.
I also like the Antec Dark Fleet... but that doesn't seem to be very internally modifiable (no removal HDD bays, doesn't seem to have much cable management)

I was wondering what people think about the 3 and how quiet their standard fans are... And possibly... if anyone has an Arctic Cooler 7 rev 2 would they be able to compare the silent fan on that to the case fans ? :)

I would get the CM storm scout myself :) I have one on the way along with the arctic cooler 7 rev 2

edit: should all be arriving tommorow so i could tell you if you havnt found out by then :)

I'm not sure when the Storm Scout is due to come off the offer.... Any way of finding out?

P.S The Arctic Cooler is fantastic bang for buck and is dead silent :)

It would appear to be a very unusual lapse in build quality. One half of the the HDD cage hadn't been fitted over the retaining pegs at the bottom of the case. It must have been missed during manufacturing as the case is so solid, it could not have happened afterwards.

I have never heard of any similar problems with CM cases before, so I am certain it is a one in a million chance of seeing another like it :)
