I'd lob in the Samsung 50" 1080p as well - got one when they were cheap at christmas. I SUSPECT the LG & Samsung would have the most issues with image retetnion (Not the end of the world) and the panasonic less so (probably). You'd probably be happy with all of them (both 1080p?)

saw the lg in comet - looked good but had a really odd power button
