Messed about with the conversation numbers again too.
Just found 3 months for £33 on shopto so I bought a few of those to top myself up until Feb 2027. I will be damned if I will renew for £23 a month after though.
My whole family uses it so I really want to keep it going and I will play horizon 6 next year so its worth it for now
Given how few games I play, when mine is up next July, I suspect I’ll just revert to waiting for sales and buying them.
Same, mine expires in Feb.
I'm done with the whole subscription model for everything. Cheaper to buy what you want to play.
Watch them start bringing in ads on the basic subscription just like the streaming services.
Pretty much already at that point. For example, some Xbox loyalists have been crowing for months about GP receiving Silksong, Blue Prince and E33 day one, but the fact is you could buy all these games off key sites right now for slightly less than 2 months of GPU.it'll get to the point where it's not worth buying for specific games which is probably what a lot of people do.
they will just wait for a sale on steam or somewhere instead.
MS need to realise when it comes to pc gamers they are stealing crumbs from the table and all they really offer is value, which they wont really anymore
Some sources are already reporting this is precisely what MS have in store. A price hike, with ads incorporated ... lovely !Watch them start bringing in ads on the basic subscription just like the streaming services.

My subscription hasn't updated with the new price yet even though I'm currently paying monthly.
I want to just cancel it in protest, but my son plays a lot of Game Pass games on Xbox, so I may just go down to one of the lower tiers.
Not sure that's true...everything I have read says it's profitable and has posted record revenues this year of $5 billion.there was a leak (I think last year) about Xbox gamepass and the numbers. From memory it wasn’t profitable and they were behind on their player count requirement to make it profitable.
I don’t think gamepass could have ever stayed as it was. The maths just doesn’t make sense. Even with these new prices it still doesn’t make sense both for MS and for the gamer.
