I use heavier switches for some keys like ctrl and shift. Actually I use a clicky switch in my caps lock.

Mechanical keyboards with foreign keysets can be bought really cheap. I bought a HyperX Alloy FPS with Cherry MX Browns for about £36 because it had a Swedish keyboard layout. I then bought a set of UK pudding keycaps for £18 and fitted them. Total price £54 so only slightly over your budget.
One difference is: Ducky one 3 is hot swap, the one 2 is not, so if you want to change the switches you will need to re solder.

ah right. Guess that's pretty good once work out what switches I like overall for the 84/104 say brown, I can then change WASD to red, with R, F and G to microswitch- for example.

I tried a Keychron K3 Ultra-slim Wireless today and was very surprised at how good it was. I don't usually like optical switches. 10/10 makes a good mobile solution.

I've been browsing the prices, it seems PBT pudding caps aren't cheap, plus going from cheap to better quality ones adds bit too, so rather getting a cheap keyboard a d upgrading it may go for a better quality one
