50% off price of persia today.....

Darn it.. I'm halfway through this game, after paying full price a while back.

Steam always reduces the games I've already bought!

I know I started the thread but I was wondering if the game is any good? Enjoy the sands of time and never played the other price of persia games. For those that own, is it worth £15?

Thanks

If you've got a 360 pad, it's a great game to sit back and play, especially if you liked the previous games.

The combat is fairly different - there's been no multiple grunts so far, and a few instances have almost quicktime-event-esque sequences - but still enjoyable.

It can be slightly repetitive, but I'd say it's worth £15.

It just looks so ugly compared to the previous games. Sands of Time, etc. looked lovely and I enjoyed the immensly this just looks like an experimental mess.

Hopefully Tom Clancy day tomorrow!

If you liked the previous games...simple answer is no dont get it!

Personally I wouldnt bother unless you are about 12 years old and struggle with games. (And I mean really struggle)

Dont get me wrong it looks very pretty and the animation is a refeshing change but they have dropped all the challenging tasks and replaced them with someone that cant die and they draw a route around the map to tell you where to go. Which destroys the purpose of this type of game.

The bosses are just as bad too, you just hold the parry button until they hit and then counter attack, repeat and rinse to kill any boss.

So even at £15 I wouldnt bother, £5 to £8 maybe but I wouldnt pay much more than that for it.

Oh did I mention you cant die...what sort of game is it when you cant die and magically come back to life?

Yeah i got this half price about a week after release from gamestop up here (on the ps3 as well).

I didnt get to into it, but iv watched my flatmate play it and i really liked the graphics and style (though the puzzels were pretty easy, i mean i wasnt even playing and could point out what to do without really watching). Still i love the cell shaded thing, might be time to finish jet set radio again....

Well worth getting at this price. Lot of fun and a very undemanding way to enjoy some simple platform/arcade gaming. Sure its repetive but no more than every other game nowadays. Also very good port as long as you have at least a Dual Core CPU FPS will be very playable. One thing to be aware of is if you use a very large screen this game can give you vertigo in places as its a long way down on most levels if you slip or fall:eek: but Ubisoft added a neat feature so that whenever you die it starts you right back on the last platform you were standing on so no need with tiresome reloading saves as its all pretty instant restart points.
