Possibly swap out the SSD with this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-026-KS

Also case: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-056-XG

Gives you another £30 odd to spend on a better processor or something?

Oh an a CPU cooler ;)

No!

He won't need a better CPU, its a media PC.. The onboard Graphics will help just making things clearer..

The SSD i specced has rapid mode which can hit 960mb/s+ Read and 1050mb/s+ write.. Which is double any other PSU..

The standard read/write speeds are also very decent..

The controller is also better (not sandforce)

You realised my rig was ITX right, space saving.. :D

Mobo includes wifi and bluetooth, can OC the K APU too. HDMI output is there should he want to use a large HDTV instead of a monitor for movies etc. which would save cash. There is a free trial of windows 8 he can use for 3 months. The win8 metro UI should work quite nicely on a HDTV too.

Ok the case isn't cheap there are cheaper alternatives. SSD allows for rapid boot times and 2TB of storage for his media.
