is there much performance difference between a 360 and 640mb version of the 8800?

I've always stupidly managed to find my self with 128mb versions of graphics cards and im wanting to go one further and get a higher end one.

The 640 version is only really useful if you want to game either with ultra texture settings or gaming above 1920 x * resolution.
