Hi

I had my old system for quite a while now. I'm currently using a Quad Q6600 2.40GHz with a Asus P5K Premium.

I'm looking to get a new motherboard, CPU (+non-water cooler) and RAM.

I'll be keeping the following:
Enermax Galaxy 1000W EGX ATX2.2 Modular PSU
Cooler Master RC-1100 Cosmos S "Sport" Silent Full Tower Case
Nvidea GeForce GTX 750TI
Keeping all my old Samsung HDDs.

I play games like the evil within, Dayz etc, but I also do a bit of video encoding/ripping music so I'll probably want a general purpose set up.

Any advice on whether or not to go for a i5 or i7 (Ivybridge / Haswell?) set up would be appreciated.

Thanks for any hellp

Hi

I'm still using my old 2407 WFP Dell monitor so it's not HD.
All my drives are SATA (Samsung Spinpoints). I do have a Crucial M225 128gb SSD but I took it out as it became full up.

I'll be quite happy to spend a bit more to get another decent HDD if need be.

Thanks for the CPU advice.
Cheers
