There’s a lot of choice out there, I currently have a 7 year old 43” 4k lg tv, just want to upgrade to something bigger, it’s only for the bedroom for Netflix and YouTube, can anyone recommend me a model or 2 to look at please?

See a lot of people instantly saying you can’t get anything good for under £500, is this genuinely true? I don’t need cinema quality, just something that would match my quality but bigger.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hisense is probably your best bet for that price range, something like the new Hisense A6BG.

It's got to be a Phillips Ambilight at that price. You can get a reasonable 55" for £500, panels are generally pretty decent. We got one to replace a faulty mid range 4 year old Panasonic and the picture quality was considerably better, I was genuinely impressed. The Ambilight function isn't just a gimmick either, it really brings something extra to the viewing.

Ambilight is great but I got rid of my Philips because of the poor motion handling

Any decent 65inch tv for around £600/700. Not a large budget but will only be used for watching Football, movies, youtube.
