you going to be made to delete this as your not allowed to show 3rd party items and sites etc. Admin will probably edit it though

you will be lucky to play the latest games on ultra with all dx11 bits on with either cards tbh at a decent frame rate, high yes, but games like bf3 and farcry3 needs a better card to get good fps on ultra in dx11 with everything turned on.

and why post on here if your getting from elsewhere?

I beg to differ. I can play everything bar Crysis 1/Warhead, Metro 2033 and Arma II on Ultra with ~60FPS. Including FC3 and BF3.

My 660 is on 1130, 6050 (or something like that)

The 660 is much better than the 7850 for BF3. Benchmarks on the Ultra quality preset often show 40-50ish fps which should be very playable. It also offers better out-of-the-box performance than the 7850 (more like 7870 performace) which is important if you're not going to be overclocking.

*major facepalm* You haven't checked benchmarks have you, 12.11 drivers rocket the AMD cards up in games like BF3

Haven't seen any reliable benchmarks with the 12.11 drivers to suggest the HD 7850 is now better than the GTX 660.
I know the new drivers have improved things quite a bit but the recently released 310.70 Nvidia drivers should give a little bump to the 660 too.

At stock clocks, as the OP said they weren't interested in overclocking, I'd rather have the GTX 660 (or HD 7870) over the HD 7850.

Edit - If OP goes with his i5 + B75 mobo, Corsair RAM, Corsair PSU, DVD-RW, Seagate HDD, Xigmatek case and GTX 660 it comes to £515.97. It gets a lot closer to £500 if you leave the DVD drive out like with his AMD build.

From OCUK that would match with this lot and it's all in stock. This has better mobo (+ Alpenfohn cooler is better than stock Intel cooler) and the XFX PSU is a rebadged Seasonic unit.
