Ops director needs a gaming pc for his step sons birthday on 14th July.

Limit is £500 for all hardware mouse, keyboard monitor.
No software needed. Wifi card is needed

Really tough at that budget, this is a little over budget, but its a noticeably better GPU. Not a lot of storage space, but the SSD will make it quicker, and an HDD can be slotted in fairly cheaply and easily later.

Could do that, using these would only add £3 to the price, but I'm not sure you'd see any real performance increase. Unless he's likely to be looking to upgrade the CPU in the near future I'd probably go with the AMD stuff.

Aren't those G4400's locked? The X4 860 is unlocked, comes with 4mb of cache and has 4 cores the Pentium is only 2 cores with no hyperthreading.

At this price point I would go with the AMD chip.
