EVGA 500W 80 Plus Power Supply
Bitfenix Nova Midi Tower Case - White
Acer KA220HQ 21.5" 1920x1080
Logitech MK120 Desktop Set
Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C10 1866MHz
Seagate 1TB 7200RPM
MSI GeForce GTX 960
AMD Athlon X4 860K
Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2
PCI wifi card 11.99

Total comes to £480 for the above.

Go with a G4400 imo.

Could do that, using these would only add £3 to the price, but I'm not sure you'd see any real performance increase. Unless he's likely to be looking to upgrade the CPU in the near future I'd probably go with the AMD stuff.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £137.47
(includes shipping: £10.50)

Aren't those G4400's locked? The X4 860 is unlocked, comes with 4mb of cache and has 4 cores the Pentium is only 2 cores with no hyperthreading.

At this price point I would go with the AMD chip.
