Hi all,

With some new games coming out I'm very excited to play ( Resident evil Village, days gone, back 4 blood ) with the GPU market to remain like this likely into next year is £500 reasonable for a Titan Xp ( full fat version )

My 1080 just can't keep up at 4k and I do miss the oomph when I had a titan a few years back.. I've disregarded the 2080/Super as frankly there's times when the 8gb on my 1080 holds the card back..

Not bad in today market but a 3070 or 3080 would be a better buy for 4K IMO as you can take advantage of DLSS.
Saying that I'm sure the Titan XP would get 60hz at 4K in most games anyway.

Tbf in some games I play with a few tweaks the 1080 does an impressive job but I've just watched a video I done of a new dawn 4k when I had my Titan Xp and compared to my 1080 I was getting 45% more performance from the titan!

I think I'm going to go for it! (Y)

In the present market that's a good deal and well below what they're sometimes going for. And you have oodles of VRAM for the price.

Plus it's easier to re-sell a Titan than almost any other cards (professional driver paths, etc.) so if you see another deal later in the year, you can potentially upgrade to it.

Yup, £500 on an unwarranted GPU would bother me, but, my mates rig with a Titan XP seems to better my identical - bar the 1080ti - rig I have.

I'd take the plunge warily @ £300, but, those days are sadly long gone.....
