I'm looking for a laptop for my gf's brother. They've got about £500 to spend, but more if required. He plays games but doesn't need high graphic settings.

About 18 months ago, for £650, I got an AMD Sempron 2800 laptop with a 128mb x700 graphics card. I was hoping that something like this would be available for £500 by now but I can't find much?

If necesarry, they might be able to push it close to £600 (inc vat).

So yeah, what I'm asking for it help finding a laptop that doesn't use integrated graphics, is within budget and has any processor that isn't a celeron (unless they've improved celerons recently)!

Cheers

I've just found these. They both have GeForce 8600GT 256mb / 120GB HDD / 1024MB RAM / Vista Home

for £525; Intel® Pentium Dual Core Processor T2310 (1.46GHz, 1 MB L2 cache, 533 MHz FSB)

for £570; Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5250 Processor (1.5GHz,667MHz,2MB L2 cache)

Both seem quite good deals :)
