Hi there,

I need to get the following:

Processor - i5 750
Mobo - no idea
GFX - no idea
Memory - no idea
Power Supply - no idea

I am looking to rekit my cooler master case with a decent gaming PC but it really only needs to have a lifetime of 2-3 years.

With the lifetime in mind, i feel there is no real need to go for a crossfire 5850 for example because i cant see how im ever going to use such a setup at full whack given that developers never aim for such a market. Id expect the PC to be going down hill in 2012 due for replacement anyways.

I wont be overclocking unless its pre-overclocked from here.

The cheaper the better lol!

If anyone can assist me with this id appreciate your time and knowledge, i tend to find a system build in my price range online, but it deals with monitors/cases etc which i dont need and as soon as i try to "upgrade" such a build, i lose confidence... "damn will this all fit together still, will the power supply not be good enough or have i chosen an unsupported memory speed"

At the end of the day, id like to go into a shop in May 2010 , buy a FPS for example and rag the settings up full to 1600x1400 and wonder if this is the last time my pc can handle the market on full whack. Theres multiple options though, should i go crossfire/sli with 2 older cards or will a new GTX/5 series perform better and so on. Is the new generation of processors powerful in a way that buying a high range card is almost negligible (in the sense that physics based games... they seem to install with PhysX, it wasnt so long ago i seen dedicated physics cards, i take it this is now incorporated into GPUs or is this handled by the processor? .. Dont expect answers to all of these lol but you see im lost.
