£500 gaming laptop

A friend over in England is looking for a gaming laptop with a very tight budget. I know you can't get anything awesome for 500 but do any of you have a suggestion? Screen size doesn't matter nor does the brand

For that price point I suggest a MEDION AKOYA P6637. Will play games at medium-high for a reasonable price.

The lenovo ones have sub-par GPUs so get the Medion

If he doesn't mind going used or refurb then he would get much better deals...

I picked up a refurbished Asus G53SX from another supplier for £400 with 15.6 inch 120HZ screen, i7 2670qm, 8GB of RAM, 1TB HDD and a GTX 560M 128bit.

There are many more out there for similar prices

I am guessing i can't specify sites on here? They also appear on the bay now and again both in the 15.6 and 17inch (G74, G73) version.

Luckily with mine it was basically a customer return, had a mouse, bag and 3D vision glasses with it. All unopened!
